The software emerged during a turbulent and critical period in our recent history. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic shook the world, resulting in millions of lives lost globally. In Brazil, more than 700 thousand people died due to the outbreak.
In addition to the tragic loss of human life, Brazilian society experienced other effects resulting from the pandemic. Social isolation led to the closure of many businesses, resulting in an unemployment rate exceeding 14%, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
As a preventive measure, the Brazilian government implemented Emergency Aid. Its purpose was to assist citizens facing financial difficulties at that time. Transactions related to this benefit were carried out through the Caixa Tem app. In total, nearly 66 million people received these payments through the software.
Currently, following the conclusion of Emergency Aid, other benefits are available through Caixa Tem. Beneficiaries of government social programs can now receive their payments through the app. Therefore, payments from Bolsa Família and Auxílio-Gás, for example, are made directly through the software. In addition, certain employment benefits, such as PIS and FGTS, are also available.

With the aim of helping Brazilians facing financial difficulties, Caixa Econômica Federal announced excellent news for Caixa Tem users. Now, those who use the software have the chance to apply for a credit card. The financial product is offered by Visa and allows payments within up to 40 days without interest. It is important to note that the card limit is predetermined.
If you are interested in applying for yours, know that the process is simple. Just open Caixa Tem (Android and iOS) as usual, log in and, in the initial menu, choose the “Card” option to submit your request. After that, simply wait for your card to be approved.
Recovering your Caixa Tem password is now easier
It is possible to reset your Caixa Tem app password through the banking system itself. On both an Android device and an iPhone (iOS), Caixa Econômica Federal provides an option to reset the password if it is forgotten. Below, learn how to restore your banking app password on your cellphone.
Open the Caixa Tem software on your mobile device
Access the software on your Android smartphone or iPhone (iOS) and click “Log in to CAIXA Tem” to be redirected to the login screen.
Enter your CPF number on the login screen, enter your CPF number and click “Next” to continue.
Choose a validation method
The next screen will ask you to choose a method to receive the validation code: email or cell phone number. Select one of the proposed options. If you do not have access to or do not recognize the options shown, click “I do not recognize or do not have access to this contact” and follow the instructions provided by the platform.
Enter the validation code
When you receive the validation code via SMS or email, enter it in the software and click “Verify code”. If you have not received the code, click “I did not receive the validation code”.

Start password recovery
Click “Recover Password” to start the process of adjusting your password for accessing the software.
Enter the CPF number again
Enter the CPF number again to start the password recovery procedure. Then, check the “I’m not a robot” option and click “Continue” to proceed.
Choose a password recovery method
Select one of the options to reset the password: email or cell phone number
. In this example, we will use the smartphone verification method. Then, check the “I’m not a robot” option and click “Continue”. Click “Send code” on the next screen to proceed.
Enter the code received

The Caixa Tem software will send a six-digit code via SMS or email. Enter this code in the software and click “Verify code” to proceed. If you did not receive the code, click “Resend code”.
Create a new password for Caixa Tem
Enter a new password, remembering that it must consist of six numeric digits and cannot be identical to the CPF or date of birth, nor contain sequential repetitions or sequences of more than two digits. Then, click “Continue”.
After following these steps, wait for confirmation that the password has been changed. To verify that the process was successful, access the software using the new password. In some situations, the Caixa Tem software will inform you that access may be granted a few minutes after the request.
