In September, the Federal Government plans to allocate a considerable amount, specifically R$ 14.58 billion, to the scheme. This financial contribution is necessary due to the integration of a large number of new families into the program, increasing the demand for resources.

Lula allocates funds to Bolsa Família
Bolsa Família, a social initiative established by the Ministry of Social Development (MDS), aims to assist families experiencing economic and social vulnerability. The scheme underwent multiple changes throughout the year, introducing a variety of innovations for users. One positive aspect is the anticipation of payments, along with a supplement for families affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
In September, each household enrolled in the scheme will receive, on average, R$ 686.89, illustrating a slight increase compared to the previous minimum amount of R$ 600. It is worth noting that, in July, the Protection Rule was introduced. This enabled families to increase their income to up to half the minimum wage per individual while remaining in the scheme.
In this scenario, beneficiaries will receive 50% of the scheme's amount for up to two years, including supplements for children, adolescents and pregnant women. This month, around 2 million households are already under the Protection Rule, receiving an average benefit of R$ 375.88.
The granting of benefits reaches families in all Brazilian territories. Notably, the Northeast has the largest number of enrolled families, with approximately 9.75 million households served. The Southeast region follows, with 6.43 million households benefiting. In the North, 2.6 million households receive the benefit; in the South, 1.48 million, and in the Center-West, 1.18 million.
Benefit disbursement schedule
The disbursement schedule was redesigned in response to the emergency caused by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. September disbursements began on September 18 and will continue through September 29, according to users' Social Identification Number (NIS). For example, individuals with NIS ending in 1 had their disbursement brought forward to Saturday (16), instead of the disbursement scheduled for Monday (18).

It is important to emphasize that the program currently assists more than 21 million households. It provides other benefits in addition to the average amounts mentioned, such as:
- Basic amount of R$ 600;
- Early Childhood Benefit supplements (for children up to six years old);
- Variable Benefit (for children and adolescents aged 7 to 17 and pregnant women).

- Disbursement on September 19: assistance for those with NIS ending in 2;

- Disbursement on September 22: assistance for those with NIS ending in 5;
- Disbursement on September 25: benefit for those with NIS ending in 6 (brought forward to the 23rd);
- Transfers on September 26: benefit for those with NIS ending in 7;
- Transfers on September 27: benefit for those with NIS ending in 8;
- Disbursement on September 28: benefit for those with NIS ending in 9;
- Disbursement on September 29: benefit for those with NIS ending in 0.
