In light of the extensive queue for medical examinations, the INSS planned mass efforts through August. See the dates!
Carlos Lupi, head of the Ministry of Social Security, announced that the queue of applications for the National Social Security Institute (INSS) has reached nearly 1.8 million people. In order to speed up medical examinations, mass efforts will be held through August.
Therefore, the Ministry's purpose is to reduce citizens' wait for service. In this context, the strategy encompasses eight Brazilian states: Rondônia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Maranhão, Tocantins, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
According to the announcement, the INSS will open 2,325 slots for insured individuals who already have an appointment scheduled. These slots correspond to applications for benefits such as sickness benefit, BPC/LOAS and accident benefit. So, learn more about the initiative below!

INSS holds medical examination drives
The drives will take place at Social Security agencies where slots are available. Therefore, insured individuals who wish to bring their medical examination forward can contact Central 135.
Furthermore, if there are extra appointments available in the area, the insured person can access the Meu INSS app (available for Android and iOS).
Dates of the INSS outreach events
- In Ariquemes (RO), from June 26 to July 14, there are 375 appointments available;
- In Sorriso (MT), from July 24 to August 05 and from August 17 to 25, there are 530 appointments available;
- In Rondonópolis (MT), from July 12 to 27 and from August 01 to 18, there are 600 appointments available;
- In Açailândia (MA), from June 26 to July 07, there are 240 appointments available;
- In Itamarandiba (MG), from July 10 to 14, there are 120 appointments available;
- In Araguaína (TO), from July 10 to 15, there are 145 appointments available;
- In Gurupi (TO), from July 17 to 21, there are 120 appointments available;
- In Alegrete (RS), from July 18 to 20, there are 75 appointments available;
- In São Miguel do Oeste (SC), from July 24 to 28, there are 120 appointments available.
