Banco Caixa Econômica Federal announced, through a notification, its plan to modernize the savings account. The financial institution's purpose is to simplify the administration and management of the account, improving its users' day-to-day financial lives.

From now on, savings account holders are authorized to process transfers every day of the week, at any time. In this way, the services become similar to Pix, where transactions are instant, without time restrictions, subject only to certain rules related to the amounts and the period in which the transactions are carried out.

Progress in the savings account

In addition, users have the option to track transfers in real time. Therefore, Caixa makes this procedure more transparent and reliable.

The new version is already active in the Caixa app, available for Android and iOS. Despite the changes, customers’ balances have not undergone any alteration. Thus, users have acquired another option for carrying out transactions, which can be scheduled according to each person’s convenience.

The transaction history remains available for review, documenting all account transactions. The notification concludes by reaffirming that “Caixa is committed to providing a high-standard service to its customers, aiming to improve and simplify financial operations through this update”.

Restricted Account

However, the only users who will not be able to enjoy the improvements are those with a restricted savings account. Since each situation is different, it is essential to contact Caixa to clarify the reason for the account restriction. It is crucial for the customer to keep their personal information up to date and resolve outstanding matters, such as debts and pending charges.

If none of the options are accepted by the Bank, it is possible to take legal action, which may help with the process, although there is no set deadline for its completion.
