Applications are open for more than 4,000 places in the Programa Universitário do Bem (ProBem). The eligibility requirement includes being registered with the Cadastro Único of the Federal Government. The government of Goiás is leading the initiative, which aims to benefit students in vulnerable socioeconomic situations.

Applications are open until July 7, and the results will be released on August 1. Therefore, beneficiaries will receive the July amount retroactively.
ProBem offers full and partial scholarships to young people beginning their first undergraduate degree at higher education institutions. The amount granted varies according to the course chosen by the student. In certain cases, the amount can reach up to R$ 5,800.
How to apply for ProBem through Cadastro Único
Candidates must apply for ProBem directly on the OVG (Organization of Volunteers of Goiás) website. In addition to being registered with the Cadastro Único, candidates must live in Goiás and be affiliated with a Higher Education Institution (HEI).
Scholarships can cover 50% or 100% of the tuition fee. For most undergraduate courses, the scholarship ranges from R$ 650 (for partial scholarships) to R$ 1.5 thousand (for full scholarships). Dentistry and Medicine courses are exceptions, in which students can receive from R$ 2.9 thousand to R$ 5.8 thousand.
ProBem Benefits
In addition to the scholarship, ProBem seeks to promote entry into the job market. The Opportunities Bank offers internships and courses related to the undergraduate field.
The program also encourages social projects and provides comprehensive support to the beneficiary's family through a social assistance network. The law that established the measure dates from 2021.
