The Federal Government has just introduced new funding under the Safra Plan, injecting the remarkable sum of R$ 364.22 billion. The strategy aims to boost the agricultural sector, encouraging rural and sustainable progress in agribusiness, ensuring the necessary support for farmers and promoting productivity.

This Tuesday (27), President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), alongside the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro (PSD), formalized the program, which aims to strengthen national agricultural production by medium-sized and large rural producers through the end of the first half of 2024.
In fact, to be entitled to a share of the investment, the farmer must belong to the National Support Program for Medium-Sized Rural Producers (Pronamp).
Belonging to Pronamp may secure investment for the farmer
Pronamp is a government effort focused on providing dedicated support to medium-sized rural producers. This action ensures more favorable conditions for the expansion of their agricultural activities.
By establishing this association, the program seeks to strategically direct its investments, thereby supporting rural producers and broadly boosting national agriculture.

However, this group of producers will receive the smallest share of the Plano Safra investment. Most of the resources will go to other producers and cooperatives.

Of the R$ 364.22 billion allocated to the Plano Safra financing program, R$ 61.14 billion is specifically directed to Pronamp. Therefore, R$ 303.08 billion will be shared among other beneficiaries of the initiative.
Thus, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock reflects the government's strategy of supporting various sectors of agribusiness. Furthermore, at the launch ceremony, it was promised that in the coming years, the funding will be more generous.

Lula emphasized that this is the first Harvest Plan of his government – suggesting continuity in the coming years –, while Minister Fávaro stressed that this initiative integrates the countryside and the city. In addition, it contributes to industry and job creation. As a result, Brazil is on its way to reestablishing some international relations that were interrupted.
