55 Brazilian municipalities will receive Bolsa Família before the expected date. The federal government brought forward payments for municipalities in a state of emergency due to the drought occurring in the Amazon Region.
Thus, last Wednesday (4), Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and other ministers visited Manaus and flew over the areas most devastated by the drought.

Therefore, with the aim of minimizing the impacts of the dry spell, the government chose to bring forward the payments. See below who will receive Bolsa Família payments in advance.
Who will receive Bolsa Família in advance?
As stated before, areas in a state of emergency will be covered by benefit before the program’s other beneficiaries. Therefore, families in the Amazon region who receive Bolsa Família and BPC (Continuous Cash Benefit) should receive it next Tuesday, the 19th.
All beneficiaries will be able to withdraw the amount on this date, regardless of the official schedule, which deposits the amounts according to each person’s NIS. In addition, those who are farmers, participate in Pronaf (National Program for Strengthening Family Farming), and have lost part of their production should receive the full insurance amount.
The government is also considering releasing the closed-season insurance for fishermen who also suffered from the dry period in the region.
Among other measures to minimize the impact of the drought, the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change sent 191 firefighters to work fighting fires.
