How do I receive Bolsa Família?

Bolsa Família is almost finished making the payments for October, as the transfers began on the 18th and families with NIS from 1 to 8 have already received the amount. It is worth noting that the benefit covers low-income families registered with CadÚnico.

In October, two new developments surprised beneficiaries: the advance payment of installments and an additional amount for mothers of six-month-old babies. Therefore, see below for details about these changes and how to receive the government payment.

Who can receive Bolsa Família?

As mentioned before, Bolsa Família is for low-income people, and to be eligible for the benefit, per capita income must be no more than R$ 218. In addition to meeting these requirements, it is necessary to be registered with the CadÚnico to be eligible for the transfers.

Another detail is that the Cadastro Único data must be up to date, otherwise the beneficiary loses the right to the amount.

Where do beneficiaries receive the payments?

Bolsa Família is deposited into the Caixa Tem app (Android and iOS), in a Digital Social Savings Account. In addition, the amount can be accessed through the app quickly and easily.

Normally, the installment amount is credited in the early hours, but there is no set time for this to happen.

October news

As mentioned before, this month brought two new developments. The first is that families in the Amazon region and in the south of the country received their payment on the 18th. This is because the regions were affected by drought and a cyclone, respectively.

For this reason, the government declared a state of emergency in both regions, and families were able to access the money on the 18th, regardless of their NIS number. In addition, the extra R$ 50 for mothers of six-month-old babies was also credited to the families' accounts.
