Another group of beneficiaries receives Bolsa Família this Tuesday (19). Caixa Econômica Federal makes the September installment payment to several people enrolled in Brazil's main income redistribution program.
During this period, Caixa Econômica has already disbursed amounts to a group of Bolsa Família enrollees. The amounts are distributed over the last 10 business days of the month, according to the last digit of each participant's Social Identification Number (NIS). Thus, each day, a different group receives the funds in their accounts.

Today, Tuesday (19), participants with NIS ending in 1 receive the Bolsa Família installment payment. They can withdraw the amount through Caixa Tem. However, those who wish to withdraw the amount in cash can go to a bank to make the transaction.

Bolsa Família payment schedule in September
Caixa Econômica began paying the September installment of Bolsa Família on Monday (18). The transfers will continue until the end of this month, reaching a new group each business day. Currently (19), enrollees with an NIS ending in 1 are receiving the September installment.

- NIS ending in 4: September 21;

- NIS ending in 8: September 27;
- NIS ending in 9: September 28;
- NIS ending in 0: September 29.
In summary, the NIS allows the Federal Government to distinguish Brazilians who receive social benefits. Therefore, keeping documents up to date and in order is crucial to avoid possible Bolsa Família suspensions.
Caixa Econômica will proceed with eight more disbursements for enrollees with NIS numbers ending in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0. Families belonging to these groups should remain alert to take advantage of the amount as soon as it becomes available.
Base installment of R$ 600
The federal government guarantees a base payment of R$ 600 to each Bolsa Família member. Thus, the benefit amount is never less than this sum, except for those who previously took out the Payroll-Deducted Loan, as the loan deductions are applied directly to the subsidy amount.
However, it is crucial to understand that Bolsa Família follows a criterion called the Citizenship Income Benefit. This establishes a payment of R$ 142 for each family member registered in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico).
Based on this criterion, individual families (a single member) would receive only R$ 142 per month. However, with the base installment of R$ 600, the government supplements the amount. This adjustment applies to families of up to four members, which would receive a maximum of R$ 568 (R$ 142 x 4) per month.
For families with more than four members, the government does not provide the supplement, as the amount exceeds R$ 600. For example, a family of five members receives R$ 710 per month (R$ 142 x 5 = R$ 710). For ten members, the amount is R$ 1,420 (R$ 142 x 10).

Although there is a stipulated base installment, the program does not limit the maximum amount to be received. Thus, beneficiaries can receive much more than R$ 600, something that has become common in recent times, since

- Early Childhood Benefit: since March 2023, the government has provided R$ 150 for each child up to six years old.
- Variable Family Benefit: offers an additional R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged seven to 18, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women in the family.
A family with two adults and three children, aged 2, 4, and 6, is entitled to R$ 600, plus R$ 150 per child up to six years old (R$ 150 x 3 = R$ 450). Therefore, the total amount is R$ 1,050 (R$ 600 + R$ 450) per month.
