First of all, it is important to state that yes, it is possible to appeal the suspension of Bolsa Família. The process is relatively straightforward:
- The family must investigate the reason for the benefit's suspension to verify whether everything is in order or whether something needs to be regularized;
- Subsequently, it is necessary to gather all the required documents and go to the nearest CRAS to file the appeal. There, it is possible to submit documents validating income, the number of family members, place of residence, and so on;
- If everything complies with the program’s rules, the administrator can reverse the cancellation carried out in the Citizen Benefits System.

All of this happens because, unfortunately, there are still people who register for Bolsa Família without actually needing the assistance. And what if I do not appeal?
If your family’s Bolsa Família has been suspended or even canceled, but no one wants to go to CRAS to appeal, unfortunately, there is no other way to prevent the payment from being terminated.

In other words, the only way to start receiving the amount again is to appeal the decision or wait 6 months, then re-enroll in the program and check whether your family still meets the requirements.
It is worth noting that the period for appealing the cancellation is 180 days from the date the benefit was canceled.
If this deadline is exceeded, you will once again have to go through the entire selection process to receive Bolsa Família.
