The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger (MDS), in charge of the Bolsa Família Program, announced that it will make a new round of payments this month. However, a concern has arisen for some families: the additional benefit from the Auxílio Gás Program will not be paid in September.

The additional benefit, which will not be provided in September, is from the Brazilian Auxílio Gás Program, assisting approximately 6 million families. This support is equivalent to 100% of the average price of a 13 kg cooking gas cylinder.

However, the program distributes its benefits every two months. Therefore, payments take place in February, April, June, August, October, and November. Since the last payment was in August, the next one will be in October.
Even without this benefit, it is crucial to point out that the other Bolsa Família Program benefits will take place as planned. Thus, families will guarantee a minimum payment of R$600 at this stage. The program's standard amount is R$142 per family member, with an additional amount for smaller families ensuring a minimum of R$600.
In addition, other additional benefits will be provided without interruption. The Early Childhood Benefit will add R$150 for each child up to six years old in September. In turn, the Variable Income Benefit will add R$50 for pregnant women and R$50 for children or adolescents between seven and eighteen years old.
