Program aims to reduce BPC waiting lines in certain locations across the country. Check it out!
An initiative is underway to address the long waiting lines related to the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) in some parts of the country. Recently, it was found that more than 1 million people are waiting in line at the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), with approximately 41% of them waiting for the BPC.

The BPC is intended for elderly people aged 65 or over, as well as people with disabilities of all ages. It is a welfare benefit linked to the INSS, intended for low-income individuals, and it is not necessary to contribute to social security to receive it.
Given this situation, a program was launched with the aim of reducing BPC waiting lines in specific locations across the country. Initially, the states in the North and Northeast regions will be prioritized, where the number of people waiting for a medical assessment is higher. Later, the program will expand to other areas.
Check the cities and dates on which the program will be implemented:
- Manaus (AM): June 17 and 18;
- Imperatriz (MA): June 24 and 25;
- Montes Claros (MG): July 1 and 2.
It is worth noting that undergoing a medical examination is essential for granting BPC to people with disabilities or incapacity. Therefore, it is essential to attend the appointment with the necessary documents, such as medical reports, prescriptions, test results, or documents related to the treatment.
By undergoing the medical examination procedure, which is also applied to other benefits managed by the INSS, it is possible to speed up the release of benefits, resulting in a significant reduction in waiting lines.
