Bolsa Família payments began on October 18, meaning the week starts with payments for beneficiaries whose NIS ends in 4. The news in October is that there is a new additional benefit, the Variable Family Benefit for Nursing Mothers (BVN).
Thus, this new extra amount is aimed at mothers of babies up to six months old. The benefit amount is R$ 50, to ensure the child’s nutrition. Therefore, check this week’s payment dates and see what other extra amounts Bolsa Família offers.

It is important to highlight that the Bolsa Família schedule and the Gas Aid are the same, so the dates apply to both. This month, the benefit that helps with the purchase of the 13kg gas cylinder will also be deposited into beneficiaries’ accounts, since it is bimonthly and the last installment was in August. What are the additional Bolsa Família amounts?
As mentioned before, October arrived with a new feature, the BVN, which is an additional amount of R$ 50 for babies up to six months old. In October alone, around 287,000 mothers will receive the benefit, which will cost R$ 14 million according to government information.
