Bolsa Família began making payments on Wednesday (18), so families whose NIS ends in 1 and 2 already have the benefit in hand. Therefore, this Friday (20), beneficiaries whose NIS ends in 3 should receive the aid installment.
In addition, it is worth noting that families affected by the drought in the Amazon region and by the cyclone in the south of the country received the payment on the 18th, regardless of their NIS number.
This month, program brought an exclusive new feature for some beneficiaries: an additional payment. This new benefit will focus on families with six-month-old children. Therefore, see below how it will work and check the complete schedule.
How will the new Bolsa Família additional payment work?
The new feature was named the Nutritional Family Variable Benefit (BVN) and will focus on families with six-month-old babies. Thus, the amount is R$ 50 per child; if the mother has more than one child, the benefit doubles in value.
The best thing about this new feature is that it already applies to current payments, so if you receive Bolsa Família you will be entitled to the amount in this installment. Around 287,150 families will receive the additional payment, and the government is expected to invest R$ 14 million in the BVN within 6 months.
This is not the only additional amount that the program social program offers; there is also:
- R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged 7 to 17;
- R$ 150 per child up to 6 years old;
- R$ 50 per pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
