The extraordinary assistance for fishers is an important support measure from the Federal Government. This is because it emerges as a beacon of hope in times of climate adversity, especially during prolonged droughts. Therefore, implemented through Provisional Measure 1,192, the emergency assistance for fishers represents significant support for those who have suffered from the devastating effects of drought.
The government confirmed the assistance amount at R$ 2,640, paid in a single installment, intended for artisanal fishers from various municipalities in the Northern region. Thus, this financial support aims to mitigate current difficulties, benefiting 102,899 artisanal fishers with a total investment of R$ 271,653,360.00 from the Federal Government.
