Just like Bolsa Família, Auxílio Gás is a government benefit that requires prior registration to participate. In addition, the entire process takes place through the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico). Below, we will detail how to complete the entire process online.
You do not need to register for Vale Gás online to receive Auxílio Gás, as the benefit is intended for everyone registered with Cadastro Único. Therefore, simply register or already be registered to access the benefit.

Prior registration with CadÚnico to obtain benefits such as Auxílio Gás
To have the opportunity to receive government benefits, users must complete prior registration online. Those interested can choose to download the CadÚnico app on their cell phone, available for Android and iOS, and complete the initial registration there. Subsequently, the beneficiary must visit a CRAS unit within 120 days to complete the registration. At this stage, it is crucial that you present all the requested documents.

Who can receive Auxílio Gás in 2023?
To receive Auxílio Gás in 2023, you must meet certain criteria. The benefit rules remain unchanged from 2022. Below, we provide more information:
- Registration with CadÚnico is mandatory;
- Have a monthly per capita family income of less than half the minimum wage;
- Women who are victims of violence have priority in receiving the benefit;
- BPC beneficiaries are also entitled to the benefit.
Today, Auxílio Gás provides beneficiaries with a payment of up to R$ 110. The amount is based on the average of the product's previous prices, with a reduction expected for August.
Benefit verification and calendar in August
To check the benefit using your CPF, we detail the procedure below. Beneficiaries can check information related to their NIS in Bolsa Família using the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) app. They can also access the program's own app, which recently had its name changed.
The CadÚnico app allows users to monitor their status in the “My Benefits” section. In the case of Bolsa Família, verification is also carried out using the CPF. The apps are listed below:
- CadÚnico: available for Android and iOS;
- Bolsa Família: available for iOS and Android.
Additionally, beneficiaries can check their NIS through two cards: the Cartão Cidadão and the former Auxílio Brasil card. In both models, the identification number is on the front, near the holder’s name.
- If the last digit of the NIS is 1 – Payment on August 18;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 2 – Payment on August 21;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 3 – Payment on August 22;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 4 – Payment on August 23;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 5 – Payment on August 24;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 6 – Payment on August 25;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 7 – Payment on August 28;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 8 – Payment on August 29;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 9 – Payment on August 30;
- If the last digit of the NIS is 0 – Payment on August 31;

Bolsa Família, a social assistance program, helps millions of people throughout Brazil. The amount transferred varies according to family structure, as well as the socioeconomic status of the beneficiaries.
In July, the average amount transferred was R$ 684.17. Thus, it benefited approximately 20.9 million families, totaling around R$ 14 billion in funds. In August, the benefit payment schedule will be the same as indicated above for Auxílio Gás.
