How can a family receive more than R$ 1,000 from Bolsa Família?

The legal document governing the benefit establishes a base payment of R$ 142 for all beneficiaries. However, this amount is merely illustrative, symbolizing the fundamental sum that Bolsa Família members are entitled to receive.
As we have already highlighted, in reality, with the introduction of the program's new benefit structure, families now have access to more substantial amounts.
For example, imagine a situation in which a family consists of four people, including two children under six years old. Thus, in August, this family could potentially receive up to R$ 1,010.
This amount is calculated by adding the base amount of R$ 600 intended for the family unit, an extra R$ 150 per child under six years old, and an additional R$ 110 for Auxílio Gás. Therefore, the total is: R$ 600 + R$ 150 + R$ 150 + R$ 110 = R$ 1,010.
