In Natal, 579 families are at risk of losing Bolsa Família
Recently, the Municipal Department of Labor and Social Assistance (Semtas) of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, sent an alert to Bolsa Família beneficiaries. According to Semtas, there are 579 families that could lose the benefit because they are not withdrawing the amount from their accounts.
It is important to remember that the beneficiary must access the benefit within 90 days after the deposit. Otherwise, the amount returns to public coffers and the person may be excluded from the program.
According to the head of the Cadastro Único, Andréia Melo, this occurs because the government will consider this failure to withdraw the money as an indication that the family does not need it. “It is crucial that families withdraw the money, as it cannot accumulate”, she explained.
Therefore, residents of Natal can check the list of beneficiaries at risk in the Natal Digital app.
“We ask these people to urgently check the city government’s app and claim the payment”, requested Secretary Ana Valda Galvão.
To access this information, citizens must:
- Download the Natal Digital app, if they have not already done so;
- Select the Services Guide;
- Click on Cadastro Único;
- Finally, choose Bolsa Família Benefit Consultation.
Next, it will be necessary to provide your NIS (Social Identification Number) to proceed.

- Friday, July 07: Rua Alpheu Castro Santos, 220, Lopes de Oliveira, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.;
- Monday, July 10: Rua José Alves da Silva, 160, Jardim Tulipas, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.;
- Tuesday, July 11: 91 Dionizio Bueno Sampaio Street, Vila Sabiá, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.;
- Wednesday, July 12: 230 Jorge Elias Street, Cajuru do Sul, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Together, the CRAS technical teams are actively seeking out families, that is, going directly to citizens. In addition, everyone must update their records by the end of the year.
Sapucaia do Sul will organize informational meetings
Sapucaia do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, has also been promoting activities related to Bolsa Família. In this regard, the Education, Health and Social Development Department has been holding informational meetings for program beneficiaries.

These meetings are taking place in schools in the municipal education network on Wednesdays. The activities provide clarification about the importance of complying with the program's rules, as they ensure the comprehensive development of children and all family members.

Who can benefit from Bolsa Família?
Recently, the new federal administration relaunched the Bolsa Família program with new amounts and reinforced compliance with its rules. Therefore, the program’s new format aims to assist families while taking their composition into account.
In addition, the new format emphasizes integrating the benefit with other public policies. Therefore, complying with the program’s rules is very important so that beneficiaries can also access healthcare, education, and social assistance.
To receive Bolsa Família, it is necessary to have an income of no more than R$ 218 per month, per person. In other words, if one family member receives a minimum wage of R$ 1,302 in a household of six people, each person’s income is R$ 217. Therefore, it is below the limit, and this family will be entitled to receive the benefit.
In addition, registration in the Cadastro Único is required, with attention paid to ensuring that the data is correct and up to date. In this regard, the beneficiary must update their information every two years, even if nothing has changed.
To register, citizens must go to the municipal social assistance service centers, such as CRAS, for example. At this time, citizens must bring their documents and those of their entire family.
