This Wednesday, Caixa Econômica Federal began making Bolsa Família payments for the month of October, introducing valuable changes for beneficiaries. This month, the social program introduces a R$ 50 bonus for families with babies up to six months old, in addition to the previously established bonuses of R$ 150 for children up to six years old and R$ 50 for adolescents up to 18 years old and pregnant women.
With this supplement, the average aid amount reaches R$ 688.97, marking one of the highest levels ever seen in Bolsa Família. According to data from the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, this expansion aims to ensure proper nutrition for mothers and their children.

Since the beginning of 2023, approximately 2.3 million families have joined the program, representing notable progress in reducing food insecurity in Brazil. It is important to mention that, in October alone, around 21 million families in need will receive assistance from the social program.
