Questions and answers
Start date?
Bolsa Família payments in October will begin on the 18th, in approximately one week. However, not everyone will have access to the amount on this day. As in previous months, it is important to wait for the specific release date according to the end of your Social Identification Number (NIS).
Who is entitled?
The guidelines for eligibility and permanence in Bolsa Família remain the same. To access the benefit, it is essential to have an active and current registration with Cadúnico. In addition, it is necessary to have a per capita income of up to R$$ 218.
Those who are already Bolsa Família beneficiaries must meet the criteria for permanence. This involves keeping up with their children's vaccination schedule and their regular school attendance. Pregnant women must keep up-to-date with prenatal appointments.
Amount to be received?
According to the Ministry of Social Development, Family and Fight Against Hunger, there will be no changes to the program's value in October. All beneficiaries start with a base of R$$ 600 per family. See below the breakdown of the values:
- Citizenship Income Benefit (BRC): R$ 142 per family member;
- Supplementary Benefit (BCO): increase to ensure the minimum total of R$ 600 per family;
- Early Childhood Benefit (BPI): additional R$ 150 for children aged 0 to 7;
- Family Variable Benefit (BVF): increase of R$ 50 for pregnant women and children aged 7 to 18;
- Variable Benefit for Nursing Mothers (BVN): additional R$ 50 per family member up to seven months old;
- Extraordinary Transition Benefit (BET): granted in special situations to maintain values of the Auxílio Brasil program until May 2025.
The amount can also be adjusted when the family enters the so-called income protection. This occurs when the government notices an increase in per capita income between R$$ 219 and R$$ 660. In these cases, the benefit is reduced by half.
