New family registrations take place, and retroactive payments are subsequently released. For those who faced blocks due to problems with the Cadastro Único, the funds may arrive as early as this month. However, access to pending payments may take up to 90 days.
Only those who adjust their situation at the nearest Social Assistance Reference Center will receive the overdue amounts.
This October, payment dates remain the same. In addition to retroactive payments, beneficiaries receive:
- R$ 150 for children up to 6 years old with up-to-date vaccinations
- R$ 50 for pregnant and breastfeeding women
- R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged 7 to 18
- R$ 108 as Gas Aid
It is crucial that pregnant and breastfeeding women keep their prenatal and nutritional checkups up to date. In addition, Gas Aid returns this month as a bimonthly benefit. The next payment takes place in December.
Who Will Receive the Retroactive Payments

In October, beneficiaries can withdraw the overdue payments on the same day they collect their regular Bolsa Família payment, according to the last NIS number.
As always, Bolsa Família makes its payments during the last 10 business days of the month. In summary, October will have the following schedule:
- From the 18th to the 20th for NIS ending in 1, 2, 3
- From the 23rd to the 27th for NIS ending in 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
- Days 30 and 31 for NIS ending in 9 and 0
Potential Bolsa Família Amounts
The base Bolsa Família amount starts at R$ 600. However, additional payments may increase the benefit. There is an additional R$ 150 for children aged 0 to 6 and R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged 7 to 18, as well as for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
There is also an extra R$ 142 for families with at least four members, paid per person. Therefore, the more members, the higher the amount, for example:
