Bolsa Família will now pay R$$ 50 to families with babies up to 7 months old. This is yet another additional benefit made available by the social income redistribution program.
There are currently others benefits that supplement families' income, focused on children, teenagers and children. So, below you will see the details of this new feature and you can check the complete benefit calendar for the month of October.
Additional R$ 50
The news was confirmed by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance and should happen in the October payment. However, it is not yet known how many families will receive the new benefit, since the payroll is still in the processing phase.
Extras that Bolsa Família offers
As said before, the benefit has a fixed value, but has additional values. See how these benefits work:
Additional R$ 150
Families with children aged 0 to 6 years old can count on a bonus of R$150, which has been valid since March. With this extra amount, families can supplement their income by up to R$300.
It is worth noting that this amount covers a total of 8.9 million children who are part of the program, according to information from the MDS (Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger).
Benefit for teenagers, pregnant women and breastfeeding women
For family groups with children between 7 and 18 years old, there is the possibility of receiving R$ 50 per person. This additional amount also applies to pregnant and breastfeeding women.
