Bolsa Família 2023 rules?
In 2023, the Federal Government began to reformulate Bolsa Família, establishing new guidelines and implementing several changes. In general terms, families with a monthly income of up to R$$ 218 per person can benefit.
It is also crucial to be registered with CadÚnico (the Federal Government's Single Registry) to participate in the program. This registration allows the Federal Government to identify families eligible for the benefit.
Furthermore, after joining Bolsa Família, beneficiaries must meet certain conditions to continue receiving payments. Here are the conditions:
- Updating CadÚnico whenever there is a change in family information, or every two years;
- Maintenance of vaccination records for children, adolescents and pregnant women;
- Minimum school attendance of 60% for children between 4 and 5 years old and 75% for children over 6 years old;
- Carrying out prenatal care by pregnant women;
- Nutritional monitoring for women and children up to 7 years old.

Families that meet the requirements and wish to register must register with CadÚnico. The head of the family must go to the nearest CRAS (Social Assistance and Reference Center), bringing documents for all family members who live in the same household. After filling out the information and answering a socioeconomic questionnaire, it is necessary to wait for a new selection by the Federal Government, based on the available vacancies and the Union's budget, with analysis of the information from CadÚnico.
