Although the Voa Brasil Program is already generating expectations, its official launch has not yet taken place. Currently, the program is in the final adjustment phase, as highlighted by the government. Silvio Costa Filho, the Minister of Ports and Airports, announced that the program is scheduled to begin in early 2024.
Since the project was announced, many Brazilians have eagerly awaited the opportunity to purchase airline tickets at more affordable prices. The ministry continues to engage in dialogue with the government and plans to present the program in the coming days. Although initially scheduled for 2023, Voa Brasil underwent revisions and had its launch postponed.

How will Voa Brasil work?
As mentioned before, the program is for INSS retirees and pensioners who earn up to R$ 6,800. Thus, the idea behind Voa Brasil is to make tickets available for R$ 200 through an app that is under development.
In addition, the platform is a partnership between the federal government and airlines. According to Márcio França, former Minister of Ports and Airports, Brazil's three largest airlines (Azul, GOL and Latam) have already agreed to participate in the initiative.
Now, all that remains is to wait for the launch of Voa Brasil to get tickets at lower prices.
Launch date
According to Costa Filho’s statement, the ministry is still in talks with the government, and the program is expected to be presented in the coming days. It is worth noting that in October the minister said the program would be ready in 2023. However, Voa Brasil required adjustments and was postponed.
Beware of Voa Brasil scams
Even though the program has not been launched, criminals are already using social media to send fake links to Brazilians. So, stay alert and do not buy tickets through WhatsApp, Facebook or links sent by unknown contacts.
