Caixa Tem, developed by Caixa Econômica Federal during the Covid-19 pandemic, aims to facilitate financial transactions for low-income citizens. Now, the bank announces a new feature: the possibility of obtaining loans of up to R$ 4,500.00 for users.
The Digital Microcredit Simplification Program for Entrepreneurs (SIM Digital) is responsible for granting these loans to certain individuals. Both individuals and Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) have the opportunity to apply for the loan; however, the process varies between these two categories.
Loans for MEIs
In the case of MEIs, the credit application can only be made at Caixa branches. In other words, those who use a CNPJ do not have the option of applying for the loan through the Caixa Tem or the bank's own apps.
Therefore, interested MEIs must personally go to a Caixa Econômica Federal branch and submit the application, bringing the necessary documents with them, such as proof of address and income.
Process for individuals
For individuals, the procedure is different: they can apply for the loan through the Caixa Tem app, following a simple step-by-step process.
After accessing the app with the updated information, the user must select the “Contract Caixa Tem Credit” option. Next, it is necessary to provide the monthly income and the desired credit amount. The next step is to choose the installments in which the loan will be repaid.
Caixa will assess the applicant’s profile and present the available credit options. The applicant must choose the best option according to their circumstances and send the documents required for analysis, such as proof of income and address.
Once approved, the loan amount will be deposited directly into the applicant’s bank account. The payment terms are flexible, with low interest rates offered.
