Is it possible to withdraw R$ 6,000 from Caixa? The deadline to request this assistance is coming to an end, and the criteria must be checked. The amount in question is related to the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS).

The disaster withdrawal is an option that allows some workers to withdraw their FGTS funds in situations involving natural disasters or emergencies. Residents of Pirapora (MG) may be entitled to this benefit!

Due to the heavy rains in the city, it is possible to request this amount from Caixa. The procedure must be carried out through the Fund’s app.

How to request a disaster withdrawal from Caixa?

It is possible to complete the entire process online, without having to leave home, using the FGTS app. To do so, you need to download the app (available for Android and iOS), provide your registration details, and select the option “Other withdrawal situations – Public disaster”.

On the platform, you will find the list of cities that are in a state of public calamity. Next, you will need to submit the necessary documentation, such as:

  • Identity document;
  • Proofs of residence;
  • Marriage certificate and/or stable union deed, if the proofs are in the spouse's name.

After that, choose the option to credit the amount to your account at Caixa Econômica Federal or to your Caixa Tem Digital Savings account. It is also possible to select other financial institutions. The deadline for receiving a response about the application is up to 5 business days.

Who can receive it?

Caixa's R$ 6 thousand calamity withdrawal is available to residents in the affected areas of Pirapora, at the addresses provided by the Municipal Civil Defense. The application deadline is 06/25.

In addition, you can only request the withdrawal if there is a balance in your FGTS account and if you have not made a withdrawal for the same reason in the last 12 months. The maximum withdrawal amount is R$ 6,220.00.
