According to the survey Map of Default and Debt Renegotiation, prepared by Serasa, Acre had more than 44% of the adult population in debt in August. Thus, this index indicates an increase of 0.46% in relation to the previous month.

Default rate according to Serasa
Serasa's research indicated that Acre's average was above the national default rate, which was 43.8%, that is, 71.74 million people.
In addition to presenting the defaulting portion of the population, Serasa highlighted that the Feirão Limpa Nome, which aims to renegotiate debts, closed more than 10.8 thousand agreements in Acre.

Increase in default
The Serasa survey from August 2023 indicates an increase in the number of people in debt in the country after two consecutive drops. Therefore, 71.74 million Brazilians are in default, an increase of 320 thousand compared to the month of July.

- 41 to 60 years: 35%;
- 26 to 40 years: 34.5%;
- over 60 years: 18.3%.
