The increase in the population's purchasing power tends to boost consumption, especially of basic products and essential services. This can generate a positive effect on the economy, stimulating production and job creation.
Although the increase in the minimum wage brings benefits, it is also important to consider the challenges and impacts that this measure may generate.
- Companies: Companies, especially smaller ones, may have to adapt to the new national minimum wage, which could lead to increased costs and even employee layoffs.
- Inflation: The increase in the minimum wage may put pressure on inflation, especially in the short term, as companies may pass on the increased costs to the prices of products and services.
- Formalization of Employment:The adjustment of the national minimum wage may encourage formal employment, as it makes it more advantageous for workers to have a formal employment contract and receive social security benefits.
