It may be useful for citizens to begin organizing the documents required for the selection process for the Bolsa Família program.
The Federal Government is expected to resume payments for a new round of Bolsa Família soon. In light of this, a large number of Brazilians are getting ahead of the process to enroll in the social program as quickly as possible. These users are eager to be part of the program, which will resume on the 18th of next month.
However, as reported by the Ministry of Social Development, Family and the Fight Against Hunger, there is no direct enrollment process for Bolsa Família. To qualify for the program, it is necessary to have a per capita income of up to R$ 218, as well as to maintain an active and up-to-date account in the CadÚnico system.
The Cadastro Único is a Federal Government registry that compiles the names of people in situations of social vulnerability. Although it is a federal registry, the selection of beneficiaries is the responsibility of each city's municipal government. Therefore, it is crucial to contact the local administration to understand the process in your area.
It is possible to state that all cities require the same documents. Recently, the Ministry of Social Development reviewed and updated the documents required to register with CadÚnico in all cities in Brazil.

Those who do not have any documents can go to the CRAS to begin the registration process. However, they must obtain the documentation and return to the location to complete the process.
“If the Family Representative (RF) does not provide one of the mandatory documents to the interviewer and a document for each family member, the registration will be considered incomplete and the family will not be eligible to participate in social programs. However, it is crucial that the registration be completed so that the government can initiate actions for civil birth registration and obtaining citizens’ basic documentation,” states the Ministry of Social Development.
