The Gas Aid has restarted payments this June, and millions of Brazilians are expected to receive the benefit of R$ 109. This amount is enough to cover the full cost of a 13kg gas cylinder. It is important to note that the amounts fluctuate each month of deposits, based on the average price of the product throughout the country.
The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) is responsible for providing the calculations. Therefore, beneficiaries may receive different amounts every two months. In April, the last month of release, the transfer was R$$ 110.
In June, the amount of Vale-Gás decreased due to a slight drop in the national average. If the price goes up, the Federal Government has to pay out a higher amount to Brazilians, and the opposite also occurs.

Gas Voucher in June
Vale-Gás payments began this week. According to the most recent information from the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger, approximately 5.6 million Brazilians should receive the amount this month.
The calendar follows the same scheme as Bolsa Família. It is made available based on the final number of the NIS (Social Identification Number) and the last ten business days of each month. See:
NIS final 1: June 19th;
NIS final 2: June 20th;
NIS final 3: June 21st;
NIS final 4: June 22nd;
NIS ending 5: June 23rd;
NIS ending 6: June 26th;
NIS ending 7: June 27th;
NIS ending 8: June 28th;
NIS ending 9: June 29th;
NIS ending 0: June 30th.
Payments in 2023
As mentioned above, Vale-Gás payments occur every two months and always in even months. Therefore, beneficiaries must expect deposits in August, October and December, and the amounts may vary.
This will depend, as mentioned before, on the price of a 13kg gas cylinder throughout Brazil. In any case, the benefit transfers should be enough to cover the full purchase of the item, regardless of the price.
