Since last Tuesday (20), registration to receive R$ 530.00 monthly from Caixa Econômica Federal has been available. In addition, in some cases, it is possible to receive up to R$ 1,130.00 monthly, depending on the candidate's level of education.
Caixa, in partnership with the Centro de Integração Empresa-Escola (CIEE), will distribute the aforementioned amount to students enrolled in public or private educational institutions who regularly attend high school, EJA high school, technical or higher education courses. The candidate must also be at least 16 years old.
Registration process for the Caixa benefit
A selection process aims to create a candidate pool for internships, with 10% of the positions reserved for people with disabilities (PcD) and 30% for self-declared Black people. Internship opportunities are available for:
- High school level;
- Technical level;
- Higher education: Law, Engineering, Architecture and social sciences.
To register, visit the CIEE website and follow the guidelines provided. After registration, the candidate will take an online test, and for higher education positions, there will be an interview stage.
Amount of the Allowance Grant provided by Caixa
The amount of the Allowance Grant provided by Caixa varies according to the candidate's level of education. See below:
High school/technical education:
- 4 hours per day – 20 hours per week: R$ 400.00;
- 5 hours per day – 25 hours per week: R$ 500.00.
Higher education:
- 4 hours per day – 20 hours per week: R$ 800.00;
- 5 hours per day – 25 hours per week: R$ 1,000.00.
Finally, a transportation allowance of R$ 130.00 will be provided. Thus, in some cases, the total amount will be R$ 530. Positions for high school and higher education interns are renewed as current contracts, which last between six months and two years, come to an end.
