Through Law No. 14,818, of January 2024, the federal government regulated the Pé-de-Meia Program, which is a type of high school scholarship that serves as an incentive for low-income students to remain in school and not drop out of public school.

  • Be enrolled in high school at a public institution;
  • Be registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico);
  • Have school attendance of at least 80% of teaching hours;
  • Participate in the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb);
  • Not failing the school year;

Therefore, by fulfilling all the requirements above, even if you are not on Bolsa Família, you can receive the Pé-de-Meia.

  • A portion of R$ 200 for students who enroll at the beginning of the year;
  • R$ 1,800, divided into 9 installments of R$ 200, for those who have a school attendance of more than 80% of teaching hours;
  • Bonus of R$1,000 per year, which will be paid in a single payment at the end of high school, for those who do not fail;
  • Bonus of R$ 200 for young people who take the National High School Exam (Enem) at the end of the 3rd year.

Ultimately, the payment amount to a high school student could reach R$3,200, as long as they meet all the requirements.
