What is the deadline for returning amounts receivable?

The System of Receivables (SVR) is a tool from the Central Bank to help citizens consult and recover possible amounts forgotten in banks. You can make this inquiry directly through page from the Central Bank.

But after all, is there a deadline for the financial institution to return these amounts? The answer is: it depends. This is because, when the return process is entirely through the SVR, there is a deadline of 12 business days. However, this does not always happen.

You may not be able to withdraw the money through the system. Therefore, you will need to contact the stolen company directly.

Redemption of amounts receivable: how it works

When you log in to the platform and access the “My Amounts to Receive” tab, you will be able to obtain data about the amounts you will receive. This is also when you will see if there is an option to request the amount directly through the system.

To do this, you will have to enter one of your Pix keys and provide your personal details. If this is not possible, you will then have to contact the institution by phone or via the email address provided by them.

Querying the SVR

Before doing any of this, you should check whether there is any amount to be redeemed in your name. You can find this on the same page mentioned at the beginning of the article.

When making the search, simply enter your CPF or CNPJ number, followed by your date of birth. Then, transcribe the captcha code that appears on the screen. Finally, click “Continue” to perform the search.
