The municipal government of Saquarema, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, is launching the New Citizen Program. Therefore, an initiative aimed at offering a grant totaling R$ 800 to young people aged 18 to 29 is available. The main objective of this opportunity is to provide professional training and create new opportunities for entering the job market for beneficiaries.
What are the program’s requirements and benefits?
To participate in the New Citizen Program and compete for the R$ 800 grant, candidates must meet some essential criteria. They must have lived in Saquarema for at least 5 years, be over 50 years old, have completed high school, and not be employed.

Those selected will receive a grant of R$ 700, supplemented by transportation assistance of R$ 100 for those who need it. The selection will prioritize those registered with the Single Registry for Federal Government Social Programs and those with an income of up to 2 minimum wages or who receive federal, state, or municipal benefits. In addition, young people seeking their first job will also receive priority.
How to apply?
Registration for the New Citizen Program will take place at the Vinicius Vidal França Professional Training Center, located at Rua Tiá Mello, No. 25, in São Geraldo – Bacaxá. The registration period will be on October 9 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A total of 110 spots are available, 5% of which are reserved for people with disabilities.
To register, candidates must provide a completed and signed registration form, along with a color 3×4 photo. In addition, they must present the original documents and copies of their ID, CPF, Reservist Certificate (for men), Work Card or unemployment declaration, proof of education, and proof of residence.
