More than 3,000 spots were made available by the CNH Social program this year. Learn about the selection criteria!
A total of 1,110 alternate candidates are being called by the State Department of Traffic of Espírito Santo (Detran-ES) to enroll in the CNH Social program. The procedure will be carried out online, from 12 p.m. on June 15, next Thursday, until 11:59 p.m. on June 30.

The list of candidates approved for the program, who will have the opportunity to obtain a driver's license free of charge, was released this Monday (12). The names of those selected can be found on the Detran-ES website, where enrollment must also be completed.
The CNH Social program offered 3,500 spots in 2023
The list of alternate candidates was created to ensure that all opportunities offered by the government are taken advantage of. Thus, those selected will be called in ranking order to fill the spots not taken by residents approved in the first phase of CNH Social.
In 2023, the program made 3,500 spots available, and more than 89,000 residents applied to obtain a car or motorcycle driver's license for the first time. In addition, opportunities were also offered to those interested in changing or adding categories.
Understand how candidates are selected for the ES government program
The CNH Social spots are divided, with 40% allocated to the Greater Vitória metropolitan region and 60% to other locations. The criteria considered for selecting candidates are:
- Lowest income per person;
- Largest number of people in the family;
- Completed elementary education;
- Receive Bolsa Família;
- Application date and time.
In addition, the program is carried out in three stages: registration, selection, and the licensing process. In the last stage, the validity period is 12 months from the opening of the process at the driving school. After this period, the selected candidate is disqualified and loses the right to participate in CNH Social for 3 years.
