Caixa Econômica Federal announced excellent news for millions of Brazilians: the launch of the R$1,400 PIX. This benefit, part of the PIS (Social Integration Program) and PASEP (Public Servant Asset Formation Program) programs, represents important financial support. PIS/PASEP aims to integrate workers into the life and development of companies, promoting a more equitable distribution of the country's income. The R$1,400 PIX is a supplement to the salaries and benefits already received, functioning as an additional bonus for workers and public servants who meet certain criteria.
To be eligible for this PIX, the user must have been registered with PIS/PASEP or CNIS (National Social Information Registry) for at least five years. In addition, the worker must have worked for employers that contribute to PIS/PASEP, received up to two average monthly minimum wages during the period worked, and engaged in paid employment for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year considered. It is worth noting that some categories of workers, such as domestic employees and rural workers employed by individuals, are not entitled to PIS/PASEP.

PIS/PASEP 2024 payment schedule
The PIS/PASEP payment schedule for 2024, approved by the Workers' Support Fund Council (Codefat), begins on February 15 for those born in January and runs until August 15 for those born in December. It is estimated that around 24.5 million workers will benefit from the wage bonus, totaling R$ 23.9 billion. How the benefit is received varies according to the worker's birth month. Those with a Caixa account will receive the R$1,400 PIX automatically, while PASEP beneficiaries will receive it through Banco do Brasil.
How to receive the R$1,400 PIX
The amount of the PIS/PASEP in 2024 is proportional to the number of months worked in 2022, the base year for the benefit. Each month worked corresponds to a benefit of R$ 108.50. Therefore, those who worked the entire year will receive the total amount of R$ 1,400, either through Caixa or Banco do Brasil. It is important for workers to check their eligibility and learn about the procedures for receiving this benefit, which can make a significant difference to the family budget.
