Caixa Econômica Federal has committed to participating in the pilot project for Real Digital, an initiative by the Central Bank (BC) in collaboration with Elo and Microsoft. The public bank will play a support role in this initial phase of implementing the token, drawing on its experience with the launch of the Caixa Tem app.

The financial institution has a presence in more than 99% of municipalities throughout Brazil, offering approximately 26,000 service points to citizens. It is worth noting that the bank is the main administrator of the benefits of social programs established by the Federal Government.
