BOLSA FAMÍLIA Payment Starts TODAY for Those Whose NIS Ends in 1

Caixa Econômica Federal begins distributing the August Bolsa Família installment this Friday (18), bringing joy to beneficiaries. Numerous recipients are entitled to the new benefit installment; however, only one segment of beneficiaries will enjoy the amount released.

Every month, the Federal Government transfers the Bolsa Família funds to Caixa Econômica, which is responsible for crediting the benefit to millions of Brazilians. These transfers are organized according to the last number of the holders’ Social Identification Number (NIS). Thus, each day, a new group of people receives the amount in their accounts.

Today, Friday (18), holders of NIS ending in 1 receive the payment corresponding to August’s Bolsa Família installment. This means that these recipients can access the benefit amount, which can exceed R$ 1,000.

The Bolsa Família amount continues to excite recipients. Some installments exceed R$ 1,000 for certain families eagerly awaiting payment. However, do you understand how this amount can reach such a figure?

First, the Citizenship Income Benefit ensures a payment of R$ 142 per member of the family unit registered with the Single Registry (CadÚnico). Therefore, a family with two adults and two minors would receive a total of R$ 568 (R$ 142 x 4).

However, the Federal Government establishes a base payment of R$ 600 for each Bolsa Família recipient. Thus, family units of up to four members have their amount supplemented, reaching the base total of R$ 600. But this amount may exceed R$ 1,000.

Increases enhance Bolsa Família

Each Bolsa Família recipient is guaranteed at least R$ 600 monthly. However, the Federal Government adds other benefits for beneficiaries, increasing the amount transferred.

Early Childhood Benefit: starting in March 2023, the government authorizes an additional R$ 150 for children up to six years old.

Family Variable Benefit: provides an additional R$ 50 for children and young people aged seven to 18, as well as for pregnant and breastfeeding women in the family unit.

According to the Bolsa Família regulations, each supplement is intended for a specific group. Therefore, it is possible to accumulate all of them.

For example, a family of two adults and three children, aged 2, 4, and 6, will receive the base amount of R$ 600, plus R$ 150 per child up to six years old (R$ 150 x 3 = R$ 450). Therefore, the total amount will be R$ 1,050 for the month (R$ 600 + R$ 450).

How to use Caixa Tem to access the benefit

In short, beneficiaries can check Bolsa Família amounts through the Caixa Tem app. You need to install the app, enter your CPF and registered password to use the available services, such as checking the statement, making PIX transactions, or paying bills.

However, for first-time access, follow the instructions:

1. Open Caixa Tem;
2. Select “Register and open your account”;
3. Click “Continue” to set up access;
4. Enter your CPF, full name, cellphone number, date of birth, ZIP code, and email;
5. Create a password.

Then, confirm access to the indicated email or cellphone by clicking the link sent by the app. You can then use Caixa Tem services.

Conditions for maintaining the assistance

Bolsa Família beneficiaries must be careful to keep the benefit. The Federal Government requires certain conditions, such as:

• Attend prenatal care;
• Following the vaccination schedule;
• Monitor the nutritional health of children under 7;
• Ensure 60% school attendance for children aged 4 to 5;
• Ensure 75% attendance for young people aged 6 to 18 who have not completed basic education;
• Update CadÚnico every 24 months.
