Gas Aid is a government initiative aimed at supporting low-income families in Brazil by providing a subsidy for the purchase of cooking gas. Benefit Details
Families that are part of the program Gas Aid will receive R$ 106, with payments beginning on Wednesday, October 18. This amount is intended to fully cover the national average cost of a 13-kilogram cooking gas cylinder.

In addition, the benefit is distributed every two months, being credited to different platforms such as the Digital Social Savings account, the Caixa Fácil Savings account, or the Social Platform.
Payment Schedule
The Gas Aid payment schedule follows the same scheme as Bolsa Família. In other words, the structure is based on the last digit of each beneficiary’s Social Identification Number (NIS). Thus, payments begin on October 18 for those whose NIS ends in 1 and continue until October 31 for those whose NIS ends in 0. The payment sequence is organized as follows:
- October 18: NIS ending in 1;
- October 19: NIS ending in 2;
- And so on, until October 31 for NIS numbers ending in 0.
Eligibility for Gas Aid
Gas Aid is intended for low-income families, with special attention given to families where there are women who are victims of domestic violence and are under urgent protective measures. Thus, to check eligibility and the status of their enrollment in the program, beneficiaries can use the Bolsa Família app, the Caixa Tem app, or Caixa Customer Service by calling 111.
