New Bolsa Família 2023: Five amounts are confirmed and Brazilians celebrate intensely

The Lula administration confirmed the disbursement of five amounts in June. The payments apply to Bolsa Família, the largest national income transfer scheme, which makes monthly deposits to beneficiaries.

The first confirmed amount is the basic installment of R$ 600, granted monthly to those registered in the program. The Citizenship Income Benefit ensures the remuneration of R$ 142 per member belonging to the beneficiaries' family, registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico).

For example, if families registered in Bolsa Família are single-person, that is, they contain only one person, they are entitled to R$ 142. However, the government supplements the installment to reach R$ 600.

Although this is the minimum level, the government can deposit a much higher amount to users, depending on the number of family members. This is because the more individuals in the family, the higher the amount to be received.

Families who will receive R$ 600 are grateful for the amount of the benefit. However, there are millions of families receiving an amount much higher than the minimum installment. In short, there are other additional benefits paid by the federal government that increase the amount of the deposit.

In June, the Lula administration paid the highest average amount in the history of Bolsa Família. In July, the amount should remain at a very high level, as the additional benefit deposits will occur again.

By the way, check below which benefits increase the amount paid to Bolsa Família users:

  • Early Childhood Benefit: since March, the government has been paying R$150 per child up to six years of age. In short, the benefit is cumulative, meaning that if there is more than one child in this age group, all of them will be entitled to the benefit amount.
  • Family Variable Benefit: ensures an additional R$ 50 to dependents aged seven to 18, in addition to pregnant and lactating women in the family.

According to the Bolsa Família rules, each benefit is intended for a specific group of people. Therefore, families can receive all of them cumulatively. In other words, a family with children under and over the age of six, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women, will receive five amounts in July, including the minimum installment of R$$ 600.

July Payment Schedule

Payment of the July installment of Bolsa Família will begin soon in the country. Users of the social program are eagerly awaiting the receipt of their installment this month, which could break a new record, as the government continues to include new users in the program. However, it is important to mention that exclusions are also occurring.

Deposits are made according to the end of the users' Social Identification Number (NIS). In fact, it is the NIS that allows the Federal Government to identify citizens who receive social benefits in the country.

Since deposits follow the last digit of the NIS, a new group has access to the amount in their accounts every business day of the month. Incidentally, families benefiting from the program receive the amount through Caixa Econômica Federal, at bank branches or through the Caixa Tem app.
