Government approves aid for residents of Maricá

Recently, powerful winds hit the region, causing extensive damage. Therefore, the municipal government's intention is to provide means for local residents to acquire building materials for their homes or businesses.

With this, the recently approved aid in the amount of R$1,400,00 will be allocated to those who have permanent residence or businesses in Maricá. Thus, it will cover those affected by natural disasters, such as storms, strong winds and landslides. In addition, it will include those in situations of temporary risk.

In this context, Fabiano Horta, the mayor, states that the recently approved aid will enable the preservation of the local economy of the Itaipuaçu neighborhood, through the restoration of homes and businesses, as well as the replacement of goods.

To be eligible for the new R$ 5 thousand aid, the interested party must obtain an opinion from the Maricá Civil Defense and Protection Department. Therefore, it is essential to meet the building standards defined by the Urban Planning Department. On the other hand, businesses must have permission to operate in the location.

Preference will be given to families with a total monthly income of less than five minimum wages. In relation to companies, it is essential to be registered as an individual microentrepreneur, qualify as a microenterprise or small business. In addition, it is necessary to have been registered for more than 2 years with an address in the municipality and present the opinion of the secretariat.
