The payment of the R$ 300 benefit began recently. On September 6, the City of Pinhais, in Paraná, through the Municipal Department of Social Assistance (Semas), granted the Mãe Pinhaense benefit card to 23 new beneficiaries. Now, they join the total group of women who receive maternity benefits.

The municipal benefit, in the amount of R$$ 300, is restricted to specific purchases in local establishments. So, continue reading to find out more details about the aid provided by the City of Pinhais.

The City of Pinhais grants aid of R$ 300 to mothers.

The maternity aid, made available by the municipality of Paraná, allocates R$1,400 to local mothers to purchase items such as hygiene products, clothing, and baby, bed and bath items, exclusively in local stores.

Previously, Mãe Pinhaense provided a kit of products to beneficiaries. However, since 2021, the local government has been providing R$ 300 assistance via magnetic card. According to the Secretary of Social Welfare, Rosângela Batista, this modality also aims to stimulate commerce in Pinhais.

“Using the card allows mothers to purchase what they really need and, in addition, promotes local commerce,” explained the secretary.

Understand the benefit better

The R$ 300 benefit, offered by the City of Pinhais, is intended for the mother and the newborn baby. In addition, the municipal benefit can be requested between the 8th month of pregnancy and up to 60 days after the birth of the infant.

It is important to note that, in order to access the Mãe Pinhaense program, it is necessary to meet certain basic requirements, such as: residing in the city and having a per capita income of less than half the minimum wage. The beneficiary's registration in the federal government's Single Registry is also a requirement.

Finally, to request assistance, pregnant women or mothers of newborns must seek guidance at the CRAS closest to their homes.
