What is Auxílio-Gás?

These households must have a per capita income limited to half the national minimum wage (R$ 651) and must have a member receiving the Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) from social assistance.

What is the structure of the Auxílio-Gás schedule?
Gas Aid disbursements occur every two months, synchronized with the dates established for Bolsa Família. In 2023, benefit payments will take place in October and December. The amount granted fluctuates, based on the average price of a 13 kg cooking gas cylinder, determined by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) during the six months preceding the disbursements.
Gas Aid Amount in October
The amount for Gas Aid for October has not yet been determined. In the most recent payments, the amounts were as follows: R$ 112 in February, R$ 110 in April, and R$ 109 in June. It is anticipated that the following amounts will remain between R$ 109 and R$ 112, according to the prevailing reference prices.
Who is eligible for Gas Aid?
To qualify for Auxílio-Gás, in addition to being registered with the Cadastro Único and meeting the income and BPC connection criteria, the registration must have been updated within the last two years. In addition, the program favors families with lower incomes, a larger number of members, recent registration with CadÚnico, those already benefiting from Auxílio Brasil, and registrations validated by the administrator using verification data.

To check whether you are a beneficiary of Auxílio-Gás, you can consult the Caixa Tem, Bolsa Família, Cadastro Único apps, or the Caixa Citizen Portal.
