Advance payment of the 13th salary from INSS
The advance payment of the INSS 13th salary was a measure adopted by the previous government, led by former president Jair Bolsonaro, as a way to alleviate the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative, which proved to be a significant stimulus for the economy, was maintained in the following years, including under the administration of current president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Therefore, it is crucial to understand that there are no plans for additional payments beyond those already scheduled and officially announced.

Who receives the 13th salary from INSS?
In 2023, the 13th salary was paid to beneficiaries of various INSS benefits and assistance. Thus, this includes temporary disability assistance, accident assistance, retirement, survivor's pension and imprisonment assistance.
In total, around 32.5 million beneficiaries received the benefit in two installments. Therefore, it is important to highlight that beneficiaries of the Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC) are not included in this group.
Importance of correct information
In the face of false information and rumors, it is essential to seek reliable and official sources to obtain information about INSS payments. In addition, the dissemination of incorrect news can create unfounded expectations among beneficiaries, causing unnecessary confusion and concern.
Therefore, it is recommended to follow official communications from INSS and the Social Communication Secretariat to obtain accurate and updated information on payments and benefits.
