My Home My Life delivers more than a THOUSAND homes

In 2009, Minha Casa Minha Vida was created with the aim of promoting housing in both urban and rural areas. Since its creation, the program has delivered almost 6 million units financed through the FGTS and around 1.5 million units through Faixa 1.

The program had been paused, but was resumed in February of this year by the Federal Government. However, new rules were sanctioned in July and the expectation is that 2 million units will be delivered by 2026.

New Minha Casa Minha Vida units in four states

On October 23, 1,651 homes from the My House My Life program were delivered in Alagoas, Bahia, Espírito Santo and São Paulo.

In Maceió, capital of Alagoas, the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho, participated in the delivery of 384 units of the Mário Peixoto Costa I and II Residential Complex.

In Santa Maria da Vitória, Bahia, Rui Costa, Minister of the Civil House, participated in the ceremony in which 250 units were delivered in the Alto Paraíso Housing Complex.

In Espírito Santo, in the city of Aracruz, 537 houses were delivered in Residencial Barra Riacho I to VI. This ceremony was attended by the minister, Simone Tebet, to hand over the keys.

In São Vicente, São Paulo, Minister Márcio França carried out the advance delivery, in person, in a symbolic manner, on October 20.

What does the current president say about the event?

According to Agência Brasil, Lula said: “everyone is happy and realizes a dream when they have a house”, and he also said that “A house and education are two values that every female and male soul wants to have in Brazil”.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva participated in the ceremony via videoconference, as he is recovering from surgery which was a success held in September in the hip.
