Bolsa Família is an benefit for low-income people enrolled in the CadÚnico. In October, the federal government blocked nearly 5,000 beneficiaries in Juiz de Fora due to registration inconsistencies.
It is important to mention that since January, the Ministry of Social Development has been reviewing CadÚnico data so that only those who truly need it remain on the payroll.

Bolsa Família benefit blocked
The beneficiaries whose benefit was blocked in Juiz de Fora are, for the most part, people who live alone and did not meet the necessary requirements to receive it.
It is worth noting that beneficiaries whose benefit has been blocked will receive a message instructing them to contact the CadÚnico department to update their information. This is because the government often cuts payments when the information is not up to date.
So, if you receive a message like this, go to a service center with a photo ID and proof of residence. Once you update your information, you will start receiving the payments again.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the government's action concerns a reorganization of Bolsa Família, something that had already been planned since Lula took office as president.
Program review
Cuts like this have been occurring since the government began its thorough review of CadÚnico. The action consists of identifying which beneficiaries are receiving benefits improperly. By March of this year, 2.5 million beneficiaries were receiving benefits irregularly.
Of this number, 1.4 million have already been excluded, and the rest will be by the end of this year. However, there are cases in which families forget to update their information as frequently as necessary and stop receiving benefits.
So, if you received any notification, update your information as soon as possible so you do not lose your rights.
