This Tuesday (31), the Federal Revenue will deposit the residual batch of the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) refund corresponding to October 2023. Thus, this transfer aims to serve 354,509 taxpayers, totaling an amount of R$ 643,259,756.29.
In the current scenario, residual batches mark the final stage of the Income Tax refund. Furthermore, they are intended for taxpayers who had their refunds released later due to adjustments or corrections in their declarations.

Income Tax Refund Payment Today (31)
Initially, of the residual lot values, R$ 427,280,878.46 will go to taxpayers who have priority. Thus, the group benefited today (31) comprises:
- 6,106 seniors over 80 years old;
- 54,438 citizens aged between 60 and 79;
- 6,491 people with a specific disability or serious health conditions;
- 16,874 professionals whose main source of income is teaching;
- 119,040 individuals who, despite not having legal preference, gained such status through the pre-filled declaration or chose to receive via PIX;
- 151,560 non-priority taxpayers will also have the amounts credited.
Consequently, the Federal Revenue Service will send the refund to the bank account specified in the IR Declaration, either via bank transfer or PIX.

First of all, it is worth highlighting that, if the taxpayer does not redeem his refund within a year, he must request the amount through the e-CAC Portal, on the Federal Revenue website.
To do this, simply go to the “Declarations and Statements” menu and select “Request unclaimed refund from the banking network”. To check whether the Income Tax refund has been released, the taxpayer can visit the IRS website, select “My Income Tax” and then “Check Refund”.
