As mentioned before, filling out the information correctly is essential. This is because the IRS system analyzes and checks the data of each consumer. In other words, if there are inconsistencies in the information, the person will be caught in the fine mesh and will not receive payment.

It is possible to reverse the situation by updating the data, but to avoid this process, be very careful when submitting your declaration.

How do I know if I will receive it?

To find out about your situation, you need to access the platform and follow these steps:

  • Select “My Income Tax (DIRPFF Extract);
  • Click on “Processing”;
  • Select “Mesh Pending Issues”;
  • Check your status.

It is important to highlight that the IRS provides another means of communication, the “Post Office Box”. Therefore, to access this means of communication, simply open the page e-CAC and select “Other” and then “Post Office Box”.

In addition, on the e-CAC portal you can check more details such as pending issues and find out if you have been caught in the fine mesh, which is quite common.

What is fine mesh?

When a taxpayer submits a tax return, the Federal Revenue Service system analyzes each taxpayer's documents. So "falling into the fine mesh" means that there are inconsistencies in the information that the taxpayer submitted.

Contrary to what many people think, this does not mean that the declaration is wrong, but that some information does not match that sent by other entities that also declare taxes, such as companies, health plans, among others.
