Voa Brasil is a program which will be launched soon by the federal government. The idea is to make cheaper tickets available to INSS retirees and pensioners.
However, the platform, which was scheduled to be launched in August, has not yet been implemented, as the Ministry of Ports and Airports is making final adjustments. Although the project is not ready, scammers are already making victims online.
The government has already issued an official statement on the matter, see details of the situation below.
Government statement on Voa Brasil
It is important to highlight that the scammers They use a fake website that takes the victim to a chat room to register. The person is then redirected to a payment tab, where the criminals gain access to the victim's sensitive data.
The federal government has published two official statements regarding the scam. In one of these statements, the authorities highlighted that the websites circulating on the internet are fake.
Furthermore, the statement highlights that when the platform goes live, interested parties will not be contacted directly, but rather via the official website. The statement also highlights the importance of not providing personal data such as CPF, full name and date of birth.
If this happens to you, look for official government channels to report the situation, such as:
- Telephone: (61) 20298090;
- Website: Speak BR
- E-mail: [email protected].
