Next June, beneficiaries of the Auxílio Gás program will once again receive the benefit amount, since payments occur every two months. This program is aimed at low-income Brazilians and seeks to assist with the purchase of a 13 kg gas cylinder. The official payment schedule has already been released by the Federal Government.
Auxílio Gás deposits follow the same schedule as Bolsa Família. Therefore, families receiving both social benefits can access the amounts on the same day. However, it is important to note that the benefit for purchasing gas covers a significantly smaller number of people compared with Bolsa Família, which is currently the largest social program.
In April, the last Auxílio Gás payment period, nearly 6 million Brazilians received the benefit. In contrast, Bolsa Família serves more than 21 million people across the country.
The Auxílio Gás schedule
The Auxílio Gás schedule is based on the final digit of the NIS (Social Identification Number). Check the corresponding dates:
- NIS ending in 1: June 19;
- NIS ending in 2: June 20;
- NIS ending in 3: June 21;
- NIS ending in 4: June 22;
- NIS ending in 5: June 23;
- NIS ending in 6: June 26;
- NIS ending in 7: June 27;
- NIS ending in 8: June 28;
- NIS ending in 9: June 29;
- NIS ending in 0: June 30.
The amount of the Auxílio Gás benefit varies every two months, taking into account the national average price of the gas cylinder, according to a survey conducted by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). In April, the amount allocated to beneficiaries was R$ 110. For June, the amount is expected to remain at this level, although it has not yet been officially announced by the Federal Government.
